Do you think that your
non-Windows Phone is the roughest, toughest hombre, uh, smartphone
around? Microsoft begs to differ with you. Take your phone to any of the
14 Microsoft Stores in the country and participate in the
#SmokedByWindowsPhone challenge.
You might remember the challenge which proved how fast Windows Phones
are with its built in functionality. The challenge started at CES 2012 in Las Vegas, went to the web and then was the focus of television commercials. Now the contest heaqds to Microsoft's retail location.
The challenges are Pocket to Picture to Post,
Using the People Hub to Stay in Touch with the People You Care About Most, Updating Your Status Across Multiple Social Networks and
Local Scout. Obviously, if you
already have a Windows Phone, you are excluded from taking the
challenge. If you win, Microsoft will give you a new Hunger Games HP
Folio 13 laptop worth a cool $1,049. And even if you lose, Microsoft will give you any Windows Phone that you want,
excluding the Nokia Lumia 800 bundle. You can receive the free phone
without a contract if you give up your current smartphone. If you want
to keep your current phone and the free Windows Phone model, you will
have to sign a 2-year deal.
So start training your current
handset like it was Rocky. The contest already started on Friday and
ends March 29th or until every Microsoft Store has awarded the 10 prizes
each was allotted.
