JuiceTank for the iPhone combines a protective case and wall charger into one

Although some people don’t mind the hassle that comes along with carrying a wall charger to juice up their beloved iPhones, there might be a solution on the horizon that might actually make the process easier than before. Sure, there are all sorts of battery and solar cases for the iPhone, but it seriously makes us wonder why it has taken this long for someone to come up with a combinational wall charger and case product.

Today, iPhone accessory maker Detached unveiled its new product in the JuiceTank case for the iPhone 4/4S, through the crowd-funding web site Kickstarter. We know what you’re thinking and wondering why, but seriously people, there’s always going to be someone out there that’s been waiting so long for something like this. Essentially, the JuiceTank offers all the protective features of any case, while still being slim and form fitting, but it also packs an integrated charger to allow iPhone owners to plug it in directly to a wall outlet.

Yes folks, that’s pretty much the extent of its functionality – then again, it’s hard to imagine that it took so long for someone to think of this. As for the case itself, it’s constructed out of polycarbonate to give it good protection against the elements, while a quick push of a button will propel its patent pending wall outlet prongs to spring out, ready to accept some juicing time.

As it stands, the JuiceTank is vying for contributions via Kickstarter, where prospective investors can make various pledges to pick up a unit. Conversely, in terms of mass production to consumers, it’s aiming to arrive as soon as Summer 2012. Currently, there are 3 different pledging opportunities available, and they include the following:
