ENSG Approves N438m For New Road Maintenance Agency

Enugu State Executive Council has approved the sum of over four hundred and thirty eight million naira (N438,804,593) for the procurement of priority equipment and vehicles for the take-off of the Enugu State Road Maintenance Agency (ENSROMA).

This was disclosed by the state Commissioner for Information, Mr. Chuks Ugwoke, at the end of the Executive Council meeting presided over by Governor Sullivan Chime at the Government House, Enugu.

According to Mr. Ugwoke, about 22 priority items would be procured which included backhole loader, wheel loader, asphalt paver and motor grader. Others are soil compactor and asphalt plant, among others.

The commissioner, who was accompanied to the press briefing by his Ministry of Works counterpart, Mr. Godwin Madueke and the Special Adviser to the Governor on Agriculture, Mr. Victor Agbo, added that the council gave approval for the award of construction of Eziabalu – Okinino – Agbudu – Afia Mmanya road to Greyline International Limited at the sum of over six hundred and sixty-one million naira.
