Nigeria: Kaduna Promises to Pay Hospital Bills for Blast Victims

Daily Trust (Abuja)Kaduna — Kaduna State government has promised to assist victims of the Sunday bomb blast in Kaduna who are receiving treatment at various hospitals in the metroplis.

Acting Governor Ramalan Yero made the promise yesterday at the end of the state security council meeting which he presided at the Government House, Kaduna.
He disclosed that the government has assigned the Commissioner of Health to visit all hospitals to collate the exact number of victims that sustained injuries with a view to paying the medical bills.

He said, "The state government would want to express its condolences and sympathize with all the families of those who lost their lives and also to those injured and those who lost their property.
"As a result of that, we have resolved in the state to continue to provide all the necessary security that will provide peace and to provide secured environment for the betterment of the people of the state and indeed Nigeria.
"I will like to assure you that security agencies and the government are still on top of the issue and we are assuring that we will do all we could to ensure that we secure the state and all the people and their property."
