Angola: Over 189 000 Children Vaccinated Against Polio

Luena — At least 189,300 children from zero to five years old were vaccinated against polio, in eastern Moxico province, during the second phase of the national campaign held from March 30 to April 01.

The provincial supervisor of the Expanded Programme on Immunization (EPI), Luis Domingos Mufenge who brought forth the information to ANGOP, said the figures are provisional because of lack of communication with some communes and villages.

During the campaign were created teams composed of 808 vaccinators, mobilizers, supervisors, technicians and other support agencies.
